SMILE AND EAT YOUR KARELA

Bitter gourd has been used in various traditional medicine systems for a long time. Like most bitter-tasting foods, bitter gourd stimulates digestion. This can be helpful in people with sluggish digestion, dyspepsia and constipation. In ayurvedic medicine, bitter gourd is popularly seen as a plant insulin. In the Phillippines, bitter gourd tea is used in blood sugar control. Now there's a great reason to not pull a face when you are served a dish of Karela Bhaji. In other countries, this good for you but unpopular vegetable is known as bitter melon.
